Sunday 17 November, 1-4pm, Lifecare Centre, 2 Cheyne St, Edinburgh EH4 1JB
During this practical and evidence-based Active Birth workshop we will cover the amazing physiology of labour and birth, the anatomy of the pelvis and the baby's journey through it, and practise upright birthing positions and movements to support this incredible act.
We will also explore the hormones of birth (including how to make the most of your birthing environment to keep that oxytocin flowing), as well as breathing exercises and relaxation techniques, methods of pain relief, and how your partner can support you during labour and birth.
You and your partner will gain confidence as you realise how your incredible body is designed to give birth and your baby knows how to be born, whatever your birth preferences.
